What is a Sibyl attack?

A Sybil attack is a security threat that occurs when someone takes over a network using multiple accounts, hosts, or computers. In the world of cryptocurrencies, there are more situations when a person manages several nodes in the blockchain. If a large number of fake identifiers can be created, their number may exceed the number of honest nodes in the blockchain. As a result, attackers can block the transmit-receive blocks and deny real users access to the network.
