Allocation is a term for the distribution of limited resources. Concerning the investor, this means the opportunity to buy tokens issued for ICO, IDO, and IEO at the lowest prices. The number of new coins that go into circulation during the initial offering on the exchange is usually limited. Therefore, demand greatly exceeds supply. The number of tokens that each investor can receive with this distribution is determined by the allocation.
