What is EVM in cryptocurrency?

EMM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) is a virtual computing environment in the form of a distributed computer responsible for smart contracts on the Ethereum network. Given enough resources, the EVM can handle any requests and calculations. Payment for the execution of the smart contracts in the Ethereum network is gas. The price of gas is included in the cost of transactions. The amount of gas that the user must pay is calculated taking into account the calculations’ complexity and the blockchain workload.
