Exchange Reserves Collapse

Ethereum exchange balances have dropped to a record low, about 77 % below the 2021 peak. The decline accelerated after late 2025, indicating that holders are moving ETH to cold storage, staking, or otherwise removing it from venues. Despite the tighter supply, the token barely moved, gaining only around 4 % in the last 24 hours and lacking strong buying pressure.

Derivatives Outpace Spot

Futures activity surged, with 24‑hour volume near $50 billion and open interest climbing. Inflows of about $1.2 billion show traders adding leverage while spot flows stay flat. This imbalance makes the market more volatile and suggests demand is weaker than the supply picture alone would imply.

Support Level and Outlook

ETH remains just above the $2,100 support zone, but the level has not triggered a decisive rally. The next move likely depends on renewed spot buying rather than further reserve declines. Until new buyers step in, price action will stay constrained despite shrinking exchange balances and rising leverage.
