Big Bitcoin wallets are back to accumulating as BTC remains at $71,000, Santiment reports.

Whale Accumulation

Santiment data shows Bitcoin whales (10‑10,000 BTC wallets) have resumed buying as the price steadies near $71 k. These large holders now own about 68.17 % of the circulating supply, up from 68.07 % a week earlier, indicating renewed confidence. The price has risen roughly 6 % over the past week and more than 7 % in the last month.

Market Sentiment & Wallet Shifts

The share of Bitcoin on exchanges fell to its lowest level since November 2017, suggesting a shift from short‑term traders to long‑term investors. Small wallets are losing share while large ones gain, a pattern that historically precedes local bottoms. Yet the Crypto Fear & Greed Index remains at “Extreme Fear” (16), reflecting cautious sentiment.

Analyst Outlook & Institutional Flow

On‑chain analyst Willy Woo warns that Bitcoin may still be in a broader bear‑phase despite the recent stabilization. Institutional interest is growing, with U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recording five consecutive days of inflows totalling about $767 million. Continued retail selling could still define the market bottom, while risk‑on signals from equities hint at a possible upside.
